Ear Spheres or ear seeds are a needle free form of acupuncture or acupressure which stimulate acupuncture points on the external ear. They are tiny metal balls which can be attached to points on the ear with a small clear adhesive plaster. Ear seeds were traditionally natural seeds taken from the vaccaria plant and are still in use today. Gold and silver plated ear seeds are more attractive and equally, if not more, effective. Before applying, the ear should be cleaned gently with an alcohol swab or a damp cotton wool ball and left to dry. This will help the Ear Spheres adhere to the ear. Using a pair of tweezers, carefully remove an Ear Sphere plaster and, referring to the appropriate ear diagram, apply to the points one at a time. Press down firmly on each to ensure they are properly applied. You can stimulate each point by gently applying pressure to each Ear Sphere. Never place Ear Spheres within the ear canal.

Ear Spheres contain nickel coated in 24k gold or silver plating. The seed is attached to a clear sticker using medical grade adhesive. They do not contain latex.

Nothing at all! The idea is to get them as close as possible to the specified points. If the point is slightly tender it's an indication that you are in the right spot.
